Useful from the first install

A real free toolkit. Not trialware.

Lite covers the whole review lifecycle: collect first-party feedback, manage it, check the health of your setup, then publish responsive displays anywhere a shortcode runs.

Intelligence score and health status. See at a glance whether your review setup is healthy or needs attention.
Strengths and recommended actions. Practical next steps, not a passive archive.
Deterministic local scoring of freshness, source coverage, moderation health, display coverage and schema eligibility. No AI and no per-use cost.

How it works

Collect. Manage. Design. Publish.

Everything stays inside WordPress. Use only the parts you need. Google is optional, and nothing is sent to VanBlaisa.

1

Collect

Add unlimited reviews manually, accept moderated website submissions, and show live Google reviews alongside them.

2

Manage

Keep first-party reviews organised in the WordPress Review Library.

3

Design

Pick a preset and tune the reviewer, rating, card, typography and responsive settings.

4

Publish

Paste

into any page, post, template, widget or compatible builder. Live Google reviews use [vanblaisa_google_reviews].

Visual Display Builder

See the review block before it goes live.

The preview runs the real frontend renderer, CSS and JavaScript in an isolated frame, so what you design is exactly what visitors see. Your saved style applies to local and Google reviews alike.

Card or slider layouts.
Source, count, minimum rating and sort order.
Reviewer image, name, date, source badge and rating controls.
Colours, radius, spacing, typography and shadow/glow.
Empty-state fallback: show a message, a button, an inline review form, or nothing.
Desktop, tablet and mobile preview with your published reviews, sample reviews, sample Google reviews or the empty state.

Four polished starting points

Choose a layout. Make it yours.

Presets for service pages, landing pages, long-form content and compact trust sections. Each one styles your live Google reviews too.

Trust Grid review preset
Trust GridA structured card grid for service pages and prominent trust sections.
Clean Cards review preset
Clean CardsA lighter card style that sits comfortably inside existing layouts.
Review Spotlight review preset

Compact Carousel review preset
Compact CarouselSeveral reviews in a controlled, swipeable space.
Collect first-party feedback

Accept website reviews. Approve before they publish.

The public form collects the reviewer's details, a rating and their review. Every submission waits for your moderation before it appears on the site.

Optional reviewer email is never shown publicly.
Configurable form messaging to match your site.
Honeypot and rate-limiting reduce automated abuse, without storing raw IP addresses.
Your data stays yours, under your own WordPress admin.

Optional live Google reviews

Live Google reviews. Nothing stored.

Show your Google Maps reviews next to your own, styled by the same Display Builder. Google is entirely optional: Lite works fully without it.

Your Google key

Add a Google Maps browser key restricted to your site, plus your Place ID. Google bills your own Cloud project directly.

Click-to-load by default

Visitors' browsers contact Google only after they choose to load the reviews. Automatic loading is an explicit opt-in.

Live, never stored

Reviews go straight from Google to the browser. Nothing is saved in WordPress, and they never enter your local stats or schema.

Attributed properly

Google Maps attribution, reviewer names and review links are shown the way Google requires, in the order Google returns them.

Conservative structured data

Know what's eligible before schema is emitted.

The Schema Safety Inspector uses the same eligibility path as the frontend output, so you see the real state before anything is published.

Clear state: Disabled, No eligible reviews, Needs attention, or Ready.
Eligibility counts: eligible, pending, draft, trashed and invalid-rating reviews.
Your own reviews only: Google reviews, demo data and builder previews never enter your schema.
Honest wording: valid schema helps search engines understand your content, but never guarantees a rich result.

FAQ

Questions before you install

Is VRI Lite really free?

Yes. It's a genuinely useful free plugin, not a time-limited trial. Core Lite features don't need a VanBlaisa account or licence key.

Do I need an AI API key?

No. Review management, the Review Intelligence Snapshot, the Display Builder, public submissions and schema-safety tools all work without an AI provider.

Does Lite store Google reviews in WordPress?

No. Google reviews go straight from Google to the visitor's browser and are never sent back to or saved in WordPress. They're kept separate from your local reviews, stats and schema.

When does a visitor's browser contact Google?

By default, only after the visitor clicks to load the Google reviews. You can turn on automatic loading, or connect the display to your cookie-consent tool with the vbril_google_reviews_can_load filter.

Do I have to connect Google?

No. Google is optional. Lite works fully with manually added reviews and moderated website submissions.

Will review schema get me stars in Google?

Not guaranteed. Lite emits conservative structured data for eligible visible reviews, but search engines decide whether to show any enhanced result.

Does Lite send any data to VanBlaisa?

No. There's no account, no licence check and no telemetry. If you uninstall, your reviews are kept unless you choose to delete them first.

Which shortcode does Lite use?

Use

for your own reviews, [vanblaisa_google_reviews] for live Google reviews and

Leave a Review

Share your experience with our team.

for a standalone review form. Your saved Display Builder settings style all of them.

What do I get by upgrading to Pro?

VRI Pro adds AI review intelligence, deeper service, location and outcome analysis, owner-reply assistance, Google Business Profile workflows, reporting, automation and agency tools. It's $9.95/month or $97/year per site, with a 14-day refund.
